Another great stay. We played tennis, and visited South Molton market on Thursday. We have eaten at the Ring O'Bells in Cheriton Fitzpaine where the food was delicious. We also visited Castle Hill House and Gardens near South Molton which is lovely.

Our week in Woodhouse Cottage comes in as one of our favorite family holidays. The cottage is lovely. Every facility provided, rooms light and welcoming and the beds super comfortable. The facilities in the kitchen were excellent and we wanted for nothing. The surrounding lands beautiful and seeing a Peregrine Falcon and Barn Owl an added bonus. We loved playing tennis early evening before dinner and had so much enjoyment playing croquet on the lawn behind the house before and after barbecues. We enjoyed a local walk, driving up to surf at Saunton, wandering around Sidmouth, sailing near Falmouth and a visit to the Valley of the Rocks topped the day trips with its amazing views. It was a truly enjoyable holiday.

What an amazing house this is! We have enjoyed the wonderful woods, the fields and the peace and quiet. The house has everything you need to relax immediately, with a wonderful wood burner for cosy evenings. We can't fault Woodhouse, and have already booked to come again in December. Thank you Denise! We couldn't believe our luck when we booked this place! It's our dream of a perfect house and location. The grounds are amazing and the dogs have spent lots of time playing in the grass. I think they will be as sad as us to leave this beautiful place. Thank you to the owners and Val for being so accommodating to our tribe. We will definitely recommend.

Yet again a lovely week! Many walks in woods amd games of tennis. We recommend a trip out to a lovely house called Castle Hill near South Molton. Also recommend the woodfire pizzas on Wednesday evenings in Witheridge.

We have had a wonderful week at Woodhouse. Such a relaxing tranquil place. The beds are super comfy and the scones were a treat. We enjoyed lovely walks through the woods daily and the house is very well equiped. We can honestly say we had no cares in the world during our stay and are all feeling stress free. This is our sixth visit and were just as happy as always. Feels like home but with much more space. Good weather for dog walking in the woods, dry and cold - just love the sound of crunchy leaves under foot. Hope to be back in the Spring.

We had a lovely time here. Thank you for the care taker who left us delicious scones. We had long exciting walks in the forest and saw lots of sheep in the field.. Also, we we went out to lunch at a nearby inn called the Stag's Head which was amazing.

Fantastic two weeks of relaxation and lots of sport - tennis, table tennis, den making, kite flying, croquet, Frisbee, football, hide + seek, Rescued a lost baby bat (National Bat Helpline 0345 1300228 in case you need it too!) Lots of space for all of us. Fun watching the farmer bale the hay. Thanks for the scones - lovely welcome.

The house looked lovely on-line but when we arrived it exceeded expectations in every way. Lovely scones left on arrival. House spotless and filled with everything you could ever need. The children aged 1 - 9 loved the open space and the adults the lovely big kitchen and lounge. Very sad to be leaving but will be back.

Sheer heaven on earth, bliss, the most perfect place to celebrate an 80th birthday. From our youngest aged 6 we have all had fantastic fun. From adventures in the woods, a tennis tournament. table tennis, water bomb fights, rolling down the hill, sitting around the wood burner in the evenings, glass of red in hand, watching the bats and the farmer collecting the hay - we've had it all. Such happy time those memories will stay in our hearts for ever. Fantastic sunny weather too!

What a great week – could have done with a fortnight – too much to do! We all played lots of tennis and table tennis and enjoyed the garden and woods. Visited Exeter, Tiverton (canal is lovely), Barnstaple (the sculpture garden at the Broomhill Art Hotel was interesting) and Dunster Castle and Watermill near Minehead. Thanks for a relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable holiday – hope to be back soon!
This has been amazing! We have had a wonderful time (thank you for the scones, by the way!) and have played lots of sport. We have also been closely observing a family of lizards living in the quarry – coming back soon!

Sad to leave such a wonderful place. Lovely to watch all the birds and widelife, although the noise of the dawn chorus was a bit of a shock the first morning. Went to Ilfracombe, Lynton & Lynemouth, Exmoor Zoo, Exeter and Barnstaple. Thanks for the cakes. Bod, the dog, enjoyed endless walkies and spent hours sniffing along the widelife tracks.

'A Family Reunion'. Perfect house and land for us all. Walking out of the heat into a cool kitchen with tea and cakes - the house with everything for all ages.
